1. Create an account

• First, we need you to create a USER NAME and PASSWORD. People will be seeing your user name, so your hubby’s pet name for you might not be your best bet.
• After you submit, wait just a few moments, and you will receive a confirmation email in your inbox. Read it, link back to the site with your temporary password, and voila, you have a monogram swap account.
• Why the temporary password? In a word – spam. You don’t like spam – neither do we. By confirming your account information, we know you are a real, live person who is ready to start swapping.

2. Add items to sell

• Once you are logged in, start adding items to sell by clicking on the SELL link at the top of the page.
• Next, List a New Product and begin the adding information.
• You will be required to name and price your item. TIP – seeing is believing. . .we recommend you provide as many details about your item as possible to help your potential buyers SEE what an amazing item you have. Include a description and image, then categorize your item to increase your item traffic.
• Also, please resize your product images before uploading them. The maximum size we allow is 800 pixels X 800 pixels or 600 KB per picture. If you need help resizing your images you can download picasa for windows or mac and read the instructions for resizing images (you will need to click on the export button to resize images in picasa).

3. Sell, Ship, Get paid

• Hooray! You have a buyer! The monogram swap will notify you by email when your item has sold. What’s next? Two simple steps.
• First, we’ll provide you with your buyer’s name and shipping address. You will have 3 business days from the time of purchase to ship the item. This is a rather crucial part of the process. If you don't ship, we can't pay you.
• At the end of the month, you’ll receive payment for all your sold items via your PayPal account. A 10% transaction fee will be deducted from your payment.

At the monogram swap, there is just one rule: bring it personalized or don’t bring it at all. Personalized items include anything with a one or three letter monogram or a name. Those too-cute monogrammed clogs? Perfect! Your five-year-olds Jon-Jon from his second Easter? Absolutely! That sterling silver mint julep cup with your maiden-name initial? We’ll help it find a new home. But your cute, and possibly appropriate “Drama Queen” tee? Well, thanks, but no thanks. There are many places to sell UN-personalized kids clothes or hand-me-down knick-nacks. The monogram swap is THE place to sell all of your loved personalized items. Need more ideas? Try this list:

• Mommy musts – diaper bags, cute clogs, headbands, belt buckles…if you’re not wearing it, we’ll find someone who will!

• Bags – tote bags, luggage, make-up bags, lunchboxes, and beach bags.
• Wedding goodies – we can’t help with an ugly bridesmaid’s dress, but we’d love your bridesmaid’s mementos, wedding gifts, favors and more. . .if it’s nice but just “not you,” sell it here!
